Build 2020 is postponed to 2021
As you all know, the aggravating situation with COVID-19 has since the confirmation of the first infections in Europe caused quite a few disruptions in the event calendars and travel plans of many among us.
To protect the health of their employees, many companies have put in place travel restrictions or outright travel bans to mitigate any further spreading.
Many events, from large international fairs to smaller gatherings have been either cancelled or postponed.
To us, the health of visitors and exhibitors of any event we organise is primary. Following the careful observation of the developments we, therefore, decided that the safest and best course of action would be to postpone Build 2020.
Due to the situation that many events were already postponed to late summer/early autumn, we plan to hold Build in Q3 of 2021.

EDIN X-Change 2019 | Salzburg

The EDIN X-Change took place on 6-8 March at Schlosshotel Mondsee near Salzburg, Austria. Suppliers had the chance to meet European distributors represented by their CEOs and purchasing managers in pre-scheduled appointments. Furthermore several suppliers built up booths and showcased their products directly on site. It was a huge opportunity to forge new partnerships and trade opportunities. Suppliers had the possibility to present their product portfolio to purchase responsibles from 20 countries and many doors for new business were opened. On top of that our European Ambassadors from 9 European countries were present to offer suppliers specific market support.
Our member Neuhofer Holz, which has been engaged in wood processing for 368 years, offered our participants a tour of their nearby production plant as a precursor to the X-Change days.
Apart from this, the X-Change days offered an excellent networking platform, where the participants got inspired by the marvelous setting inside one of the oldest abbeys in Europe, framed by the picturesque winter ambiance of the Dachstein mountains.

Take a dive into digital 2017

The first EDIN think tank took place, February 2017 @metabo Der rasante Wandel in der Wirtschaft macht deutlich, dass auch die heute erfolgreichen Unternehmen ihre Zukunft neu denken müssen wenn sie ihre Innovationsfähigkeit behaupten wollen. Welche Ideen sind im Zuge von Digitalisierung und sich rasant entwickelnder Geschäftsmodelle auch morgen noch innovativ – und wie mache ich mein Unternehmen fit für die Herausforderungen der Zukunft?
Zusammen mit den Teilnehmern werden wir die Ziele und Strategie des think tanks definieren: Die Frage “Was wollen wir eigentlich erreichen?” steht hier im Mittelpunkt.
Die Agenda des Events umfasst gezielte Diskussionsrunden in kleineren Gruppen, inspirierende Keynotes und ein Ideation-Workshop zum Thema “Design Thinking”.

Wo das klassische, Unternehmens-interne Innovationsmanagement zu kurz greift, setzt unser Think Tank an : Was ist die langfristige Vision für die Branche? Deshalb soll der Think-tank eine Plattform bieten um sowohl Trends, Best-practice und Strategie zu diskutieren als auch allgemeines Know-how auszutauschen.
